AOI Matsuri on 15th of May☆

The Aoi Matsuri, now one of the Kyoto's three big festivals(Aoi, Gion
and Jidai), is one of the most solemn and graceful festivals in Japan
and has been well preserved throughout the ages since the 6th century.

It is named after aoi leaves(hollyhock), which are used to decorate the
costumes of the participants.

These leaves are believed to have all
sorts of powers, including protection against lightning and earthquakes,
and quaranteeing easy childbirth.

The procession consists of 511 people, 36 horses, 4 cows and 2 carriages,
and runs 1 kilometer from the front of the back.

The highlight of the festival is the saio-dai, a young woman(in the Heian period,
she was always an imperial princess) who rides on a palanquin in a multitude
of followers wearing the colorful clothing of the imperial court.
She is dressed in 12 layers of imperial Heian robes.

Nijyo-Castle Night Time Illumination☆

It takes only 20min from Kyoto station by bus.

This elegant castle was built in 1569 by Nobunaga Oda!!

I enjoyed a lot with Japanese traditional music!

It is KOTO.

I went to Shirakawa-river... last night.

It was amazing!!!!!!
I guess, there is no any word....

PLUM Festival on 25th of Feb.

This Plum Festival was held at KITANO-TENMANGU shrine on 25th.
A lot of people were enjoy spending a time with Maiko & Jeiko-san.

How plum trees are wonderful!!!!! Beautiful^^

I was really enjoy myself through all of my body!!!

Fresh air, plum's elegant smell & lovely coloring...

Maiko & Geiko serve to visiters a Macha(is one of Japanses tea)

She is Geiko.

They are Maiko(under 20years old)

Look at her Please, the side of the Maiko's face is beautiful, isn't it???

Actually, taking a photo with real Maiko
is really difficult.
We need to go tea house to spend our time with
Maiko, but tea house is really strict!!!
The new customer can not go to there alone.
So, this type of servise(TEA PARTY) is amazing!!!!
and price is perfect! only 500yen!!!


Geiko made tea for us.

I was sooooo excited , because really close to Maiko.
